Results: 7 New Cases of COVID-19
Seven (7) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 281 tests performed on Friday, January 29. 

To date, there have been a total of 7,586 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 129 deaths, 102 cases in active isolation and 7,355 not in active isolation.

Results: Seven New Cases of COVID-19
Seven (7) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 367 tests performed Thursday, January 28. Four (4) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine. One (1) case was identified through contact tracing.

To date, there have been a total of 7,579 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 129 deaths, 95 cases in active isolation and 7,355 not in active isolation.

Results: Four New Cases of COVID-19

Four (4) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 420 tests performed Wednesday, January 27. One (1) case reported recent travel history and was identified in quarantine.

Two (2) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 516 tests performed Tuesday, January 26. One (1) case reported recent travel history and was identified in quarantine. 

To date, there have been a total of 7,568 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 129 deaths, 88 cases in active isolation and 7,351 not in active isolation.

Twelve (12) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 570 tests performed Monday, January 25. Six (6) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine. 

To date, there have been a total of 7,566 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 129 deaths, 102 cases in active isolation and 7,335 not in active isolation.

Earthquake Recorded

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.6 that struck about 57 miles north northwest of Asan- Maina, Guam, with a depth of 194.8 km, at 9:46 a.m. (ChST).

There were no reports made to Guam 911 dispatch of damages or injuries from the earthquake.

129th COVID-19-Related Fatality Reported
The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 129th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) on January 25, 2021 at approximately 2:07 a.m. The patient was a 50-year-old male with underlying health conditions. He was admitted to GMH on December 22, 2020 and was a known positive case.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics Continue for School-Based Employees 
The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), in collaboration with the Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC), American Medical Center (AMC) and the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) will hold vaccination clinics throughout the week for school-based employees. GRMC is hosting a vaccination clinic today and will continue tomorrow, Tuesday, January 26 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Employees from the following schools will be accepted at GRMC: 

GHS/OCD, JRM, NBG, and AAFB to Conduct Routine Testing of Advanced Warning Systems

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), Joint Region Marianas (JRM), U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG), and Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB) will conduct routine testing of the vital communication and advance warning system sirens, respectively, on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, starting at 3:15 p.m.

 

GHS/OCD will test the nineteen (19) All Hazards Alert Warning System (AHAWS) sirens in conjunction with JRM, NBG, and AAFB monthly routine testing of the “Giant Voice (GV)” sirens.
