Red Flag Warning in Effect, Refrain from Outdoor Burning

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office advised very dry conditions and occasionally gusty winds will lead to rapid fire spread today.

red flag warning is in effect for Guam until 7 p.m. this evening. East winds of 10 to 20 mph, with higher daytime gusts, and humidity down to 55 to 60 percent at times are expected. The combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will create ideal conditions for rapid spread of wildfires. Refrain from outdoor burning.

fire weather watch is in effect from this evening through Thursday afternoon for Guam. Critical fire weather conditions will remain through Thursday. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
