Message from Guam Homeland Security and Office of Civil Defense

Hafa Adai!

First, we would like to thank you for visiting our website. Here at Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense, we are committed to providing you with the information and tools to prepare for and safely get you through a disaster, whether it is man-made or natural.

We live on a beautiful island that is unfortunately prone to typhoons, earthquakes and tsunamis. Because of recent world events involving terrorism, like the rest of our nation, we also are faced with the prospect of being victims of a terrorist attack. Typhoons, earthquakes, and terrorism - although we may not be able to stop the first two and are making tremendous strides in being able to prevent the third, preparing for these events and others that could occur just makes us a better and safer community.

As we continue to grow, our website will be enhanced and improved to provide you the very best and latest information to keeping you and your family prepared and safe. From time to time, we will also feature Guam's finest emergency responders so that you can learn about who they are and how they can help you in times of emergency. We will also provide links to other websites that will be informative and beneficial to you.

Enjoy our site and please feel free to contact us with any suggestions, comments on how we are doing and how we can better serve you.
