Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area, resulting in minor flooding.

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flood advisory, in effect for Guam until 3 p.m. this afternoon. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area.
Some areas that will experience flooding include Dededo, Tamuning, Yigo, Mangilao, Chalan Pago-Ordot, Barrigada, Yona, Agana Heights, Andersen AFB, Talofofo, Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Sinajana, Inarajan, Asan, Merizo, Piti, Santa Rita, and Umatac.
The Office of Guam Homeland Security and the Office of Civil Defense (OHS-OCD) invite the island to celebrate September as National Preparedness Month (NPM). To commemorate the month, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero will declare NPM with a proclamation signing on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at the Ricardo J. Bordallo Governor’s Complex, Large Conference Room.
NPM is an observance each September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time.
