Flood Advisory in effect until 3:00pm

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flood advisory until 3:00pm today affecting Guam with minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

At 114 PM ChST, rain gauge and weather station reports indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include all villages of Guam.

Residents and visitors are advised to take the following precautionary actions;

Flood Advisory in effect until 8:00pm

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flood advisory, in effect for Guam, until 8:00 pm this afternoon. This will cause minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
 
At 530 PM ChST, satellite estimates indicate heavy rain in the advisory area. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Dededo, Tamuning, Yigo, Mangilao, Chalan Pago-Ordot, Barrigada, Hagatna Heights, Andersen AFB, Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Sinajana and Asan.

Flood Advisory in effect until 3:00pm

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flood advisory, in effect for Guam, until 3:00 pm this afternoon. This will cause minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
 
At 1139 AM ChST, rain gauge and weather station reports indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include all villages of Guam.

Residents and visitors are advised to take the following precautionary actions;

    Tropical Depression 11W (Shanshan) poses no direct threat

    The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office is issuing Public Tropical Cyclone Advisories on Tropical Depression 11W.

     At 7AM ChST, Tropical Depression 11W was located 330 miles NNW of Guam, moving NW at 7 mph with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph (Tropical Storm is sustained 39 mph). 

    Tropical Depression 11W poses no direct threat to Guam or the CNMI as it continues to move away. 

    There are no tropical storm watches or warnings at this time, nor are they anticipated with 11W. 

    Flood Advisory in effect until 2:00pm

    The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flood advisory, in effect for Guam, until 2:00 pm this afternoon. Trained weather spotters reported heavy rain across the entirety of Guam. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.2 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.

    Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Periods of heavy rainfall will remain likely throughout the day.

    Flood Advisory in effect until 5:15pm

    The National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Forecast Office Guam issued a flood advisory is in effect for Guam until 5:15pm.  

    Expect minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some villages that may experience flooding include: Dededo, Tamuning, Yigo, Mangilao, Chalan Pago-Ordot, Barrigada, Yona, Hagatna Heights, Talofofo, Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Sinajana, Asan and Piti.

    Small Craft Advisory in Effect

    The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office advised a small craft advisory remains in effect for the coastal waters of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan until 5 p.m. this afternoon. Southwest winds of 15 to 25 knots, with gusts to 30 knots, and seas of 6 to 9 feet are expected. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.
