Press Release - OHS-OCD Postpones Routine AHAWS Siren Test

The Office of Guam Homeland Security and the Office of Civil Defense (OHS-OCD) has postponed the routine test of the All Hazards Alert Warning System (AHAWS) sirens scheduled for this afternoon.

The postponement is due to a delay in the completion of antenna repairs needed to support system testing operations. OHS-OCD is continuing to work with technical personnel to complete the necessary repairs and ensure the system is functioning as intended prior to conducting the test.

A new test date will be announced once repairs have been completed and the system is ready for operational assessment.

OHS-OCD appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as work continues to maintain the reliability and effectiveness of Guam’s emergency warning systems.
