The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.7 that struck 114km SSW of Merizo Village, Guam, with a depth of 34.1 km, at 4:43 p.m.
As advised by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, there was no tsunami threat to the Marianas from the earthquake. There were no major damages or injuries for Guam reported from the earthquake.
