Red Flag Warning in Effect through Thursday, Refrain from Outdoor Burning

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office advised gusty winds and dry vegetation will maintain a high fire threat.

red flag warning is in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday for Guam. East winds of 10 to 20 mph, with gusts to 25 mph over higher terrain, and humidity at 50 to 60 percent are expected. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Conditions will ease during nighttime hours. Refrain from outdoor burning.

An airport wind advisory is in effect for the Guam International Airport until 7 p.m. this evening. Winds at 15 to 20 knots, with gusts to 30 knots, are possible. Practice caution while traveling in heavy wind conditions.
