11:00 a.m. Flood Advisory in Effect; Practice Caution

The National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Forecast Office Guam issued a flood advisory for Guam until 1:00 p.m. this afternoon. Heavy rain is causing urban and small stream flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

The community is advised to take the following actions:

  •  When driving in heavy rain, be alert for low visibilities and slippery roads;
  •  Slow down where water is ponding on the road;
  • Practice caution while traveling in heavy rain, driving below the speed limit and allowing enough braking distance between vehicles.
