Today, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero signed Executive Order No. 2021-30, relative to extending the public health emergency. Effective November 30, 2021, the public health emergency declaration is now scheduled to expire on December 30, 2021.

Thunderstorm Advisory in Effect; Showers Expected through Saturday

Community Advised to Practice Caution on the Roadways

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a thunderstorm advisory, in effect for the Guam International Airport until 9 p.m. this evening. Thunderstorms are possible or occurring within 20 nautical miles of the airport. Be alert and take precautions as required. If lightning is seen or thunder is heard, remain indoors.

DPHSS Guidance Memorandum 2022-05
Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) issued Guidance Memorandum 2022-05, relative to amending vaccination requirements and limitations on social gatherings and congregations, in accordance with Executive Orders No. 2021-20, and 2021-29 during the current Pandemic Condition of Readiness 3 (PCOR 3), which was declared by Executive Order No. 2021-16 on July 21, 2021.

COVID-19 Booster Shot Eligibility Expands
Today, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) approved the COVID-19 vaccine boosters for all adults. Individuals 18 years and older who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine (first two doses) are eligible for a single booster shot at least 6 months or more after their initial series. For individuals who received the Johnson and Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, single booster shots are also available for those who are 18 and older and who were vaccinated two or more months ago.
