267th COVID-19-Related Fatality Reported
The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 267th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City on December 1, 2021. The patient was an 85-year-old female, unvaccinated. She tested positive on November 29, 2021.

Hazardous Surf and Seas Remain; Inexperienced Swimmers Advised to Stay Out of the Water

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office has the following advisories in effect:

high surf advisory is in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Hazardous surf of 9 to 13 feet is expected for north, east and west facing reefs. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion are expected, especially during high tides.
