Results: Two New Cases of COVID-19
Two (2) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 368 tests performed on Wednesday, March 10. One (1) case reported recent travel history and was identified in quarantine.

To date, there have been a total of 7,758 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 133 deaths, 24 cases in active isolation, and 7,601 not in active isolation.

Results: Four New Cases of COVID-19
Four (4) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 313 tests performed on Tuesday, March 9. One (1) case reported recent travel history and was identified in quarantine.

To date, there have been a total of 7,756 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 133 deaths, 23 cases in active isolation, and 7,600 not in active isolation.

Two (2) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 634 tests performed by the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) on Sunday, March 7, and tests from additional labs from Friday, March 5 to Sunday, March 7. 

To date, there have been a total of 7,751 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 133 deaths, 23 cases in active isolation, and 7,595 not in active isolation.

Results: No New Cases of COVID-19

No new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 99 tests performed on Saturday, March 6.

No Tsunami Threat to Marianas from Kermadec Islands Earthquake

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 8.0, and later upgraded to an 8.1, that occurred in the Kermadec Islands region, New Zealand at 5:28 a.m. (ChST), Friday, March 5, 2021, with a depth of 10.0 km.

 

As advised by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, based on all available data, there is NO tsunami threat to Guam, Rota, Tinian, or Saipan from this earthquake although some minor seal level fluctuations may occur.

 

Potential for Tsunami Threat Remains Under Investigation from Distant Earthquake

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 8.0 that occurred near the Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at 5:28 a.m. (ChST), Friday, March 5, 2021, with a depth of 10.0 km.

As advised by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, there is a possibility for a tsunami threat to Guam and CNMI from the distant earthquake, though it remains under investigation at this time. If there is a tsunami threat to Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan, the earliest impacts would be around 2:24 p.m. (ChST) on March 5, 2021.
