Flood Advisory in Effect

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Guam, in effect until 9:15 a.m. A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Heavy Downpours Continue; Practice Caution on the Roadways

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a short term forecast for Guam and Rota, and their coastal waters.

 

Through 9 p.m., fast-moving showers will bring heavy downpours to Guam and Rota, with up to an inch of rain possible. Brief flooding of roads is likely as the showers pass. If driving, be alert for sudden changes in visibility and for water ponding on the road.

Flash Flood Warning Extended

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office extended the flash flood warning for Guam until 8:45 p.m. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring within the warned area. This warning may need to be extended beyond 8:45 p.m. if heavy rain redevelops.

Impassable Roadways Reported, Seek Alternate Routes

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flash flood warning for Guam until 6:15 p.m. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring within the warned area.

Impacts include flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low-lying areas. Flooding of public roadways is possible in some areas. Landslides are possible in steep terrain.
