Heavy Downpours Continue; Practice Caution on the Roadways

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a short term forecast for Guam and Rota, and their coastal waters.

Through 9 p.m., fast-moving showers will bring heavy downpours to Guam and Rota, with up to an inch of rain possible. Brief flooding of roads is likely as the showers pass. If driving, be alert for sudden changes in visibility and for water ponding on the road.

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) advise residents and visitors to practice caution while traveling in rainy conditions, driving below the speed limit and allowing enough braking distance between vehicles.
