No new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 332 tests performed on Saturday, April 24. To date, there have been a total of 7,915 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 136 deaths, 67 cases in active isolation, and 7,712 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 1.0. The community is reminded to remain vigilant:
The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office has issued red flag warning, in effect for Guam until 6 p.m. this evening. A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly.
Sustained winds of 14 to 18 mph are expected. The combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will create ideal conditions for the rapid spread of wildfires. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly, especially at higher elevations. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
