Flash Flood Warning Now in Effect for Southwestern Guam; Practice Caution in Heavy Rain
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Tiyan Guam has issued a flash flood warning for Southwestern Guam until 5:15 p.m. this afternoon. Thunderstorms are producing heavy rain. Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 3 inches is possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Yona, Talofofo, Inarajan, Asan, Merizo, Santa Rita and Umatac.
Residents and visitors are advised to take the following precautionary actions:
