Earthquake Recorded
The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.5 that struck 48 km NNW of Dededo Village, Guam, with a depth of 185.8 km, at 10:42 a.m. (ChST).
There were no damages or injuries reported from the nearby earthquake. There is no tsunami threat to the Marianas from the earthquake.
Cumulative COVID-19 Test Results: 84 New Cases Reported October 25–31
Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) reported 84 new cases of COVID-19 from 1,398 specimens analyzed from tests administered October 24–30, 2022:
October 31: 3 of 133 test positive for COVID-19
October 30: 12 of 101 test positive for COVID-19
October 29: 13 of 213 test positive for COVID-19
October 28: 16 of 234 test positive for COVID-19
Cumulative COVID-19 Test Results: 48 New Cases Reported October 18–24
Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) reported 48 new cases of COVID-19 from 1,812 specimens analyzed from tests administered October 17–23, 2022:
October 24: 8 of 181 test positive for COVID-19
October 23: 2 of 150 test positive for COVID-19
October 22: 9 of 201 test positive for COVID-19
October 21: 15 of 236 test positive for COVID-19
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), Joint Region Marianas (JRM), U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG), and Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB) will conduct routine testing of the vital communication and advance warning system sirens, respectively, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, starting at 3:15 p.m.
GHS/OCD will test the nineteen (19) All Hazards Alert Warning System (AHAWS) sirens in conjunction with JRM, NBG, and AAFB monthly routine testing of the “Giant Voice (GV)” sirens.
