The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense will conduct a test of the All Hazards Alert Warning System (AHAWS) siren from the Tamuning Mayor’s Office location on Monday, October 29, 2018, between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The siren test from Tamuning Mayor’s Office is being conducted to assess operation.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) remind the community to participate in National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) throughout the rest of October. Lieutenant Governor Ray Tenorio declared NCSAM with a proclamation signing on Friday, October 12, 2018.
The three Adult Day Care Centers and 12 Senior Citizens Centers will remain closed today and resume normal operations tomorrow, October 26, 2018.
All other services, Legal Assistance Services, Case Management Services, In-Home Services, Transportation Services, Preventive Health, and the National Family Caregiver Support Program services are back in operations.

Following is an update on Guam as Super Typhoon Yutu moves west and away from the Marianas.
SHELTERS: There were 629 people in shelters early this morning. People have started returning to their homes. Three (3) shelters have closed with less than 300 shelterees remaining.
PREGNANT MOMS: 13 expectant moms were sheltered as of this morning at the Guam Memorial Hospital.
The National Weather Service (NWS) – Guam Weather Forecast Office advise catastrophic winds for Tinian and Saipan are occurring.
As of 1a.m., Yutu was located 14.8 degrees north latitude and 145.7 degrees east longitude, about 115 miles northeast of Guam, 20 miles south of Saipan and 15 miles south-southeast of Tinian. Yutu is moving northwest at 13 mph with maximum sustained winds of 180 mph.
The eye of the storm will pass over Tinian over the next couple of hours.
