Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and Rear Adm. Brett Mietus have placed Guam, and the respective military bases, in Condition of Readiness (COR) 1, and Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness (TCCOR) 1 at 4 p.m. this afternoon, April 13, 2026. At COR1, destructive winds are possible within the next 12 hours.

Brett Mietus, anticipate placing Guam, and the respective military bases, in Condition of Readiness (COR) 1, and Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness (TCCOR) 1 at 4 p.m. this afternoon, April 13, 2026. At COR1, destructive winds are possible within the next 12 hours.

JTF-M, as the Department of War's supported command for Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) in the region, is actively coordinating with federal, territorial, and local partners to ensure a rapid and effective response if requested. 

JIC Release No. 13 - Beware of Scams and Report Suspicious Activity

The Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC) issued the following advisory to the community. The period of storm preparation and the subsequent recovery are prime times for criminal exploitation. The MRFC is actively monitoring for scams, price gouging, and suspicious behaviors that threaten the safety and financial security of residents. You are reminded to remain vigilant.

JIC Release No. 10 - Flood Watch in Effect Today Through Wednesday Morning; Flash Flooding Caused by Excessive Rainfall Continues to Be Possible

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Guam, Rota, Saipan, and Tinian through Wednesday morning. While initial rainfall of 0.8 to 2.4 inches is expected to cause minor flooding today, the threat increases significantly as Typhoon Sinlaku approaches. 

Typhoon Sinlaku is projected to cross the Marianas on Tuesday, potentially bringing 15 to 20 inches of rain near its center; current tracking suggests 6 to 12 inches are probable for Guam, with locally higher amounts possible.
