Guam remains under both a tropical storm warning and a typhoon watch. It is moving northwest at 9 mph with maximum sustained winds of 180 mph.
Guam can expect an extended period of tropical storm force winds (39 - 73 mph) from Monday evening through Wednesday. The onset of tropical storm force winds are expected to reach Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan tonight. Typhoon force winds are expected to start reaching Rota, Tinian, and Saipan Tuesday or Tuesday afternoon. The latest forecast track has the storm passage still expected near or over Tinian and Saipan.
