JIC Recovery Release No. 9 - Traffic Control to Resume; Urge Caution on the Roadways
The Guam Police Department (GPD) and the Guam National Guard (GUNG) will begin traffic control at four way intersections with non-functional traffic lights at 6 a.m. this morning and will end traffic control operations at 6 p.m. this evening.
To ensure safe passage on the roadways after Typhoon Mangkhut, GPD and GUNG were designated to man various intersections across the island, and to direct traffic in a safe and orderly fashion.
Please practice courtesy for safety officials and follow these important tips:

The Office of the Superintendent of Catholic Education announces the following update on resumption of classes in the aftermath of Typhoon Mangkhut:
These schools have confirmed that they will resume classes on Wed., Sept. 12:
JIC Recovery Release No. 7 - Tier II Shelter OPEN, located at Astumbo Gym
GDOE administrators and school staff sacrificed time away from their families to manage the shelters during the height of the typhoon. The operation ran successfully and without incident.

GDOE CLASSES CANCELLED ON SEPTEMBER 12
Classes are cancelled for all Guam Department of Education (GDOE) schools on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, in order to allow for post-typhoon recovery efforts at campuses throughout the island. All 12-month school-based and central office employees are to report to work Wednesday.
