JIC RELEASE NO. 485 - Two COVID-19 Related Fatalities Reported; Results: 13 New Cases of COVID-19;DPHSS COVID-19 Community Mass Testing Starts Tomorrow;One GDOE Employee Tests Positive For COVID-19

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 114th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) at approximately 10:38 a.m. on December 7, 2020. The patient was a 60-year-old male with underlying conditions that were further compounded by COVID-19. He was admitted to GMH on October 1, 2020 and tested positive upon admission. 
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 484 - DPHSS COVID-19 Community Mass Testing Resumes Friday

The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) will resume COVID-19 community mass testing on Friday, December 11, 2020. DPHSS, in collaboration with the Office of the Governor, Judiciary of Guam, Mayors’ Council of Guam, Guam National Guard, Department of Public Works, Guam Police Department, Micronesia Mall Management, Guam Premier Outlet Management, and other Government of Guam and Federal Agencies, will hold community testing at no cost to the people of Guam.
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 479 - Results: 18 of 488 Test Positive for COVID-19; Five Test Positive for COVID-19 at DOC;Food Commodities Distribution Through Village Mayors Continues; Automatic Extension for Guam Driver’s Licenses, Guam IDs, and Guam Driver’s Permits

To date, there have been a total of 6,977 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 113 deaths, 808 cases in active isolation and 6,056 not in active isolation.
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 478 - 113th COVID Related Fatality Reported; Results: 17 of 863 Test Positive for COVID-19; Last Day for COVID-19 Community Mass Testing Saturday; One GDOE Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 113th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the U.S. Naval Hospital (USNH) at approximately 6:30 a.m. The patient was a 63-year-old female with underlying conditions that were further compounded by COVID-19. She was admitted to USNH on December 4, 2020 and was a known positive case.
