Information on Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 124th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) last night at approximately 7:53 p.m. The patient was a 52-year-old male. He was admitted to GRMC on January 6, 2021 and tested positive upon admission.
Twenty-one (21) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 554 tests performed on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Four cases were identified through contact tracing. One case reported recent travel and was identified in quarantine.
Thirteen (13) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 808 tests performed on Monday, January 4, 2021. Two cases were identified through contact tracing. One case reported recent travel and was identified in quarantine.

Seventeen (17) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 501 tests performed by the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) on Sunday, January 3, and tests from additional labs from Friday, January 1 to Sunday, January 3. Six (6) cases were identified through contact tracing. Six (6) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine.
One (1) new case of COVID-19 was identified out of 57 tests performed on Saturday, January 2, 2021.
The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 123rd COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) at approximately 11:50 a.m. The patient was a 68-year-old male with underlying conditions. He was admitted to GMH on December 14, 2020 and was a known positive.
Nine (9) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 148 tests performed on Thursday, December 31, 2020.
