DPHSS Addresses Recent Headlines on Rumors of Coronavirus on Guam
Officials are aware of a message circulating on social media and chat groups of a confirmed case in Saipan. This is false information. There are no reported suspected or confirmed infections with 2019-nCoV on Guam or within the Mariana Islands at this time.
The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is closely monitoring an outbreak of a 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China that began in December 2019.
