Information on Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) tested 38 individuals for COVID-19 on Sunday, April 5, 2020 with conclusive results. Seventeen (17) tested positive through DPHSS and 21 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2.
The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) tested 19 individuals for COVID-19 on Saturday, April 4, 2020 with conclusive results. Six (6) tested positive through DPHSS and 13 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. Additional results will be provided later this evening once today’s test results are finalized.

Three (3) additional cases tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 through the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) in San Diego.
The Joint Information Center was recently notified that on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 6:41 p.m. (ChST), Guam’s fourth COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH). The patient was a 67-year-old female with underlying health issues, which were compounded by COVID-19. The patient had recent travel history to the Philippines.

Five (5) tested positive through DPHSS and 36 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. The DPHSS overall count also includes six positive cases that were tested by the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) in San Diego. Additional results will be provided later this evening once today’s test results are finalized.
The Government of Guam, along with the Guam Department of Labor (GDOL), is currently working with the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) to create the guidelines and application process for the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program.
