Information on Coronavirus (COVID-19)
As of March 22, 2020, there were 27 positive cases of COVID-19 on Guam with one (1) COVID-19 related death. There will be additional results later this evening once today’s test results are finalized.
The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) tested 35 individuals for COVID-19 on Sunday, March 22, 2020 with conclusive results. Twelve (12) tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and 23 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2.

On Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 1:30 a.m. (ChST), Guam’s first COVID-19 related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH). The patient was originally admitted to GMH on Sunday, March 15, 2020 and remained in isolation throughout the week. The patient was among one of Guam’s initial COVID-19 patients.
The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) tested 23 individuals for COVID-19 on Saturday, March 21, 2020. One tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and 22 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2.
The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) tested 19 individuals for the virus causing COVID-19 on Friday, March 20. Two tested positive and 17 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. This brings the total number of confirmed cases on Guam to 14. Additional results will be provided later today.

To date, a total of 12 cases tested positive for COVID-19 on Guam. The Government of Guam (GovGuam) is aggressively implementing its planned COVID-19 response to identify and contain transmission of COVID-19 in Guam. With any change in status, anticipate timely notification.
