COVID-19 test results are reported from multiple labs at varying times of the day. The Joint Information Center will report cumulative COVID-19 test results once a day, unless unavailable.
The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 48th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) at approximately 10:53 a.m. The patient was a 61-year-old male with underlying health conditions that were compounded by COVID-19. He was admitted to GMH on September 15 after testing positive at a private clinic earlier that day.
The National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Forecast Office Guam issued a short term forecast for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan, and their coastal waters. Through 2 a.m., heavy showers and thunderstorms are moving over Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan waters. These showers will persist over the waters and move over the islands.

The Joint Information Center was notified of three additional COVID-19-related fatalities.
The forty-fourth fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) at approximately 9:15 a.m. The patient was a 58-year-old female who tested positive for COVID-19 upon admission to GMH on September 2, 2020. She had underlying health conditions that were compounded by COVID-19.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), Joint Region Marianas (JRM), U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG), and Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB) will conduct routine testing of the vital communication and advance warning system sirens, respectively, on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, starting at 3:15 p.m.
GHS/OCD will test the nineteen (19) All Hazards Alert Warning System (AHAWS) sirens in conjunction with JRM, NBG, and AAFB monthly routine testing of the “Giant Voice (GV)” sirens.
