Cumulative Results
To date, there have been a total of 4,693 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 79 deaths, 1,948 cases in active isolation and 2,666 not in active isolation.

No Direct Threat Expected from Tropical Depression Atsani; Tropical Storm Watch Canceled for Guam

 

The National Weather Service (NWS) advised Tropical Depression Atsani (23W) continues to move farther west.

As of 5:00 p.m., the system was located near latitude 11.7 degrees north and longitude 142.5 degrees east, about 195 miles southwest of Guam, moving west-northwest at 17 mph.

JIC RELEASE NO. 424 - DPHSS COVID-19 October 31 Community Outreach POSTPONED; DPHSS Public Hearing on October 31 & November 4;Four GPD Officers and One Arrestee Test Positive for COVID-19

For the safety of the staff, nurses, responders, and the community, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) has postponed the COVID-19 Community Outreach, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Astumbo Gym in Dededo, due to Tropical Depression Atsani. 

 

A revised date will be provided once available. Those who have pre-registered for tomorrow’s testing will be notified directly and will be able to keep their reserved spots once a new date has been determined.

Tropical Storm Watch in Effect; Tropical Depression Atsani to Pass South-Southwest of Guam Late Tonight and Early Saturday

The National Weather Service (NWS) continue to monitor what is now Tropical Depression Atsani (23W).

At 8 a.m., NWS issued a tropical storm watch for Guam, meaning tropical storm conditions, including destructive winds of 39 mph or more, are possible this evening.
