JIC Release No. 41 - REMAIN INDOORS UNTIL COR4 IS ANNOUNCED

The worst weather conditions from Typhoon Mangkhut will persist until later tonight. Conditions will slowly improve but we continue to urge the community to remain indoors until Condition of Readiness (COR) 4 is announced.

After damaging winds subside, it may still be unsafe to traverse due to any debris, flooded roadways, downed power lines, or any other damages that are harmful to life and property. Until COR 4 announcement, should remain indoors to allow for emergency personnel to make road safety and recovery assessments.

JIC Release No. 40 - GOVGUAM TO REMAIN CLOSED TOMORROW AS RECOVER EFFORTS BEGIN

The Government of Guam will remain closed tomorrow, to include Guam Department of Education schools and agency offices.

Winds are expected to subside tomorrow morning but at that point, recovery work, including road safety assessments will be made. We ask that all residents remain indoors until the all clear is given.
