JIC RELEASE NO. 374 - 50th COVID-19-Related Fatality Reported; Cumulative Results: 67 Test Positive for COVID-19; Profiles of Confirmed Cases;Two GDOE Employees Test Positive for COVID-19

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 50th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) at approximately 7:50 p.m. The patient was a 72-year-old female with underlying health conditions that were compounded by COVID-19. She was admitted to GMH on September 16 and was a known COVID case. 
   

Short Term Forecast Issued, Heavy Rain Expected

The National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Forecast Office Guam issued a short term forecast for the coastal waters of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan. Through 1:30 a.m. early Thursday morning, an area of moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms is slowly moving across the western waters of the Marianas.
