No Immediate Threat to Marianas Assessed from Reported North Korea Launch

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), federal and military partners, continue to monitor events surrounding the region including reports of the recent launch of an unidentified projectile out of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) today. 
   

JIC Recovery Release No. 89 - School Debris Cleanup Underway, Residential Debris Cleanup Forthcoming; Deadline to Apply for FEMA Assistance Extended to July 28; FEMA Offering Free Rebuilding and Repairs Tips in Guam

The Joint Information Center is aware of a viral messaging circulating regarding typhoon related debris removal for residential collection. The community is advised that the viral message is unofficial and that an official announcement is forthcoming. 

 
   

JIC Recovery Release No. 86 - Recruitment for National Dislocated Workers Grant Continues

The Leon Guerrero-Tenorio Administration is still hiring individuals to assist with disaster recovery efforts following Typhoon Mawar under the National Dislocated Workers Grant (NDWG) Program. Hundreds of positions are still available at village Mayors’ Offices, the Department of Parks and Recreations, the Department of Public Works, the Guam Environmental Protection Agency Debris Management Sites, and Mass Shelter Operations.
