Rainy Weather Expected Next Week; Be Alert for Advisories
The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office continue to monitor the development of a large monsoonal circulation developing over the area, expected to move across the Marianas this weekend and into the Philippine Sea next week. The monsoonal circulation will keep scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Marianas from Saturday night into part of next week.

Thunderstorm Advisory in Effect
The National Weather Service (NWS), Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a thunderstorm advisory for the Guam International Airport until 9 a.m. Thunderstorms are occurring within 20 nautical miles of the airport. Be alert and take precautions as required. If lightning is seen or thunder is heard, seek shelter.
NWS Issues Flood Warning for Guam; Drive with Caution
The National Weather Service (NWS), Guam Weather Forecast Office issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Guam until 2:30 p.m.
Heavy showers approaching and moving across Guam have produced up to an inch and a half or rainfall in the past hour, causing urban and small stream flooding. Poor drainage areas will be susceptible to minor flooding the next hour or so.
GHS/OCD to Conduct Routine Testing of Advanced Warning Systems
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) will conduct routine testing of the All Hazards Alert Warning System (AHAWS) sirens from seventeen locations on Tuesday, September 3, starting at 3:15 p.m.
