JIC Recovery Release No. 27 - Red Cross Continues Financial Assistance Intake

The American Red Cross is continuing intake requests for Individual Financial Assistance (IFA) through June 1, 2026, for households impacted by Typhoon Sinlaku. This assistance is independent of government programs and is intended to support immediate recovery needs.

Financial assistance is available only to individuals whose primary residences were destroyed or sustained major damage as a result of the typhoon.

Residents seeking assistance should email GuamChapter@redcross.org and include the following information:
  • Address in the subject line
  • Names of residents
  • Photos of damage to the primary residence

Affected individuals may also submit information through WhatsApp at 571-242-1829 with:
  • Name
  • Address
  • Photos of structure damage

Once information is received, the American Red Cross will contact applicants to schedule an appointment and advise what documents are required for the appointment.

All Red Cross services, including financial assistance, are available regardless of citizenship status, nationality, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious beliefs, socioeconomic status, or political opinions. The American Red Cross is a charitable organization, not a government agency. Individuals do not need to be U.S. citizens to receive assistance. Red Cross financial assistance is not a loan and does not need to be repaid.
