SBA Disaster Assistance Available to Guam Private Nonprofit Organizations

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Low-interest federal disaster loans are now available to certain private nonprofit organizations in Guam following President Trump’s federal disaster declaration for Public Assistance as a result of Typhoon Wutip that occurred Feb. 23-25, 2019, announced acting Administrator Christopher M. Pilkerton of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Private nonprofits that provide essential services of a governmental nature are eligible for assistance.

No Immediate Threat from Reported North Korea Missile Test

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), federal and military partners, continue to monitor events surrounding the region including reports of a launched projectile out of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), today.

MRFC Provide Tips for Identifying Counterfeit Money

The Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC) continues to monitor threats and hazards to the region. In light of recent reports regarding the use of counterfeit money, the MRFC advises the community to be alert for similar incidences and the potential impact on consumers, businesses, and financial institutions.
