JIC Release No. 5 - Hospital/Clinic Update

Guam remains in Condition of Readiness (COR) 2 as of 6:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to stay indoors until COR 4 is declared. As Super Typhoon Hagibis approaches the Marianas, the Mayors’ Council of Guam has announced that Senior Centers and Adult Day Care centers will be closed on Tuesday.

JIC Release No. 4 - Shelter and Transportation Update

Guam remains in Condition of Readiness (COR) 2 as of 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2019, and three Guam Department of Education emergency shelters are open. Mayor’s Offices will remain open throughout the night to provide bus transportation to shelters for residents in need.

JIC Release No. 3 - Government and School Closures; Flight Cancellations

The Government of Guam will be closed on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, as Super Typhoon Hagibis continues toward the Marianas. The Government of Guam, Guam Department of Education schools, Guam Community College, and University of Guam will remain closed until Condition of Readiness (COR) 4 is announced. DODEA and Catholic schools will also be closed on Tuesday.

JIC Release No. 1 - Guam in COR 3

As a precautionary measure, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero has placed Guam in Condition of Readiness (COR) 3 at 1 p.m. this afternoon. At COR 3, damaging winds of 39-57 mph are expected within 48 hours.

Guam Remains in COR 4; Be Alert for Any Changes

On Sunday night, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and Acting Lieutenant Governor Tina Rose Muna Barnes met with emergency management stakeholders from the Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), the Department of Public Works, the Guam Department of Education, the Mayors Council of Guam, and Joint Region Marianas to receive an update on Tropical Storm Hagibis.
