JIC RELEASE NO. 782 - 155th COVID-19-related Fatality Reported; COVID-19 Hospital Census: 76; COVID-19 Test Results: 215 New Cases; Isolation Clearance Letters Available for Pick Up; COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Schedule; Additional Updates

The Joint Information Center (JIC) was notified that Guam’s 155th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital at approximately 8:03 p.m. on September 8, 2021. The patient was a 54-year-old male, vaccinated, with multiple underlying health conditions, who tested positive upon arrival. 
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 781 - 154th COVID-19-related Fatality Reported; COVID-19 Hospital Census: 75; COVID-19 Test Results: 325 New Cases; Isolation Clearance Letters Available for Pick Up; COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Schedule; SNAP Supplemental Emergency A

The Joint Information Center (JIC) was notified that Guam’s 154th COVID-19-related fatality was pronounced dead on arrival at the Guam Memorial Hospital on September 7, 2021. The patient was a John Doe, who tested positive upon arrival without any verifiable record of COVID-19 vaccination. 
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 780 - 152nd and 153rd COVID-19-related Fatalities Reported; COVID-19 Hospital Census: 63; Cumulative COVID-19 Test Results: 201 New Cases; COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Schedule; Additional Updates

The Joint Information Center (JIC) was notified that Guam’s 152nd COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) at approximately 10:03 a.m. on September 5, 2021. The patient was a 70-year-old male, unvaccinated, and had tested positive for COVID-19.
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 778 - DPHSS Active Enforcement of Executive Order No. 2021-21 Starts Today

Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) Division of Environmental Health (DEH) will begin actively enforcing the provisions of Executive Order 2021-21, which requires Covered Establishments and contact sports to verify COVID-19 vaccinations of patrons and participants. Enforcement will be conducted with the assistance of the Guam Police Department.
