Tropical Depression 14W Advisory 2

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued 14W Advisory 2. Tropical Depression 14W is moving northwest toward Guam.

A tropical storm warning remains in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan. Tropical storm conditions, including winds at least 39 mph, are expected by early Wednesday morning.

About 110 miles south-southeast of Guam
About 150 miles south of Rota
About 205 miles south of Tinian
About 215 miles south of Saipan

Maximum sustained winds 35 mph

Present movement NW 305 degrees at 13 mph

At 700 PM CHST the center of Tropical Depression 14W was located near Latitude 12.0 degrees North and Longitude 145.4 degrees East. 14W is moving northwest at 13 mph. It is expected to maintain this general course and speed through Wednesday. This track keeps 14W passing over or very near Guam early Wednesday morning as a slowly-intensifying tropical storm.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 35 mph. 14W is forecast to intensify the next few days, likely becoming a tropical storm tonight as it passes Guam.

An intermediate advisory will be issued by the National Weather Service at 1100 PM followed by the next scheduled advisory at 200 AM early Wednesday morning.
