Dangerous rip currents expected for east facing reefs of the Marianas.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense remind residents:
- Swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deep water
- If caught in a rip current, relax and float
- If able, swim in the direction following the shoreline
- If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help
