NWS Issues Short Term Forecast; Heavy Rains Expected in the Afternoon

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a short-term forecast for Guam.
Now through 1 p.m., a few showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop over Guam. Locally heavy rain and occasional lightning are expected. Some locations could receive an inch or more of rainfall.
If driving, be alert for near-zero visibility in heavy rain. Watch for ponding of water on the road. If outdoors, find shelter if thunder is heard.
