A small craft advisory remains in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan coastal waters until 10 a.m. Thursday. East winds of 10 to 20 knots with frequent gusts to 25 knots will continue today. Hazardous seas of 8 to 10 feet will affect the Marianas waters, mainly to the east of the islands. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid sailing in these conditions.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) remind the community to avoid hazardous seas until conditions improve, as NWS advised strong rip currents are also expected along eastern shores of the Marianas the next few days.
