Flood Advisory in Effect; Practice Caution

The National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Forecast Office Guam issued a flood advisory in effect for Guam until 7:30 p.m. this evening. Between 0.25 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 1.5 inches are expected resulting in minor flooding.

The community is advised to take the following actions:
  • When driving in heavy rain, be alert for low visibilities and slippery roads;
  • Slow down where water is ponding on the road;
  • Practice caution while traveling in heavy rain, driving below the speed limit and allowing enough braking distance between vehicles.
