GDOE Schools to Remain Closed Tomorrow; Personnel to Report for Recovery
The Guam Department of Education (GDOE) public schools will remain closed to students tomorrow, Monday, April 20, 2026 due to ongoing health, safety, and operational concerns at several campuses.
At this time, some schools are experiencing no power, no water, low water pressure, and power fluctuations. Additionally, drinking water has not yet been deemed safe for students and requires further assessment. Further concerns include the need for mold mitigation and safety assessments, as well as assessments of the cafeteria food preparation areas.
GDOE faculty and staff are to report to work during normal working hours.
