Press Release – Small Craft Advisory in Effect until 600pm Saturday

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a Small Craft Advisory in effect for Guam until 600pm Saturday evening in addition to the High Surf Advisory and Rip Current Statement that are still in effect till 600pm.

For the Small Craft Advisory, East to South winds 15 to 25kt with gusts up to 35kt and seas 8 to 13 feet. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

The offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense remind residents that:

  • Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
