Be prepared for the possibility of 5 to 10 inches of rain from this evening through late Wednesday night as a monsoon disturbance develops across the region. Heavy rainfall may potentially last longer possibly extending the flash flood watch.
Residents be advised, excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense remind residents:
- Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
- Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
