Wind Advisory in Effect from 6am Wednesday to Thursday 6pm

The National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Forecast Office Guam issued a wind advisory, in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan, through 6 p.m. Thursday.

South winds of 20 to 35 mph with frequent gusts up to 45 mph are expected.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and few power outages may result.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

These winds will be because of a monsoon surge flowing into the developing Invest area 95W, which is currently the subject of a Tropical Cyclone Formation Alert from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center.
