Small Craft Advisory in Effect

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office advised a small craft advisory remains in effect for the coastal waters of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan until 5 p.m. this afternoon. Southwest winds of 15 to 25 knots, with gusts to 30 knots, and seas of 6 to 9 feet are expected. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.

Today’s forecast is expected to be breezy and cloudy with numerous showers and a few thunderstorms. Rainfall is expected to be heavy at times.

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) remind the community to avoid hazardous seas.
