JIC Recovery Release No. 72 - D-SNAP Updates; Disaster Debris Sites and Green Waste Sites Update

D-SNAP Updates:

The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) is informing the public that D-SNAP applicants who received their EBT card may receive a call from DPHSS.

During the call, applicants may be asked for information to ensure the completeness of their D-SNAP application. Such information may include items like their date of birth. Rest assured these calls are legitimate and are intended to ensure benefits are issued.

Please be aware that DPHSS will be calling using the numbers 671-300-8880 or 671-300-8882 during the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; these numbers will only be active during this time-period.

The community is reminded to complete the D-SNAP application form to the best of their ability, and to make sure to write their name, date of birth, and phone number. This ensures approved D-SNAP applicants receive their benefits in a timely manner.

Due to a high volume of applicants, approved D-SNAP participants may see their benefits loaded into their EBT card within a week of issuance.
