GHS/OCD Host Climate Adaptation Planning for Emergency Management Training
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in coordination with the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC), will host the “Climate Adaptation Planning for Emergency Management (AWR-347)” training on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the GHS/OCD facility, Agana Heights.
The AWR-347 course is offered at no cost to eligible participants and is intended to increase understanding about the principles of climate change adaptation planning for emergency management and first response processes. Participants will discuss the impact of weather hazards on critical infrastructure and key resources, and explain how climate change projects will affect those impacts.
Attendees for the course include emergency management personnel from the Government of Guam, federal, military, private, and non-profit organizations.
