UPDATE: Response to LP Gas Tanker Crash; Roadways Remain Closed
At 5:15 a.m, Guam Fire Department (GFD) personnel reported the LP gas tank was completely empty of its contents and flammability and oxygen levels were deemed safe for entry. Extrication of the victim will be performed once the Guam Police Department (GPD) completes their initial investigation into the crash.
As GPD conducts their investigation into the fatal incident, both southbound and northbound roads on Rt. 2 into Humåtak will remain closed to traffic. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes until further notice. The Joint Information Center will provide additional information once available.
