The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a special marine warning for the coastal waters of the Marianas until 2:30 p.m. Showers and isolated thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are located across coastal waters, along with wind gusts of 34 knots or greater.
Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and sudden higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. Dangerous lightning is possible with thunderstorms.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), with NWS, will continue to monitor all systems in the area and provide updates as needed.
