Results: Seven New Cases of COVID-19
Seven (7) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 525 tests performed by the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) on Sunday, May 9, and from tests run by other labs between Friday, May 7 to Sunday, May 9. Two (2) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine. Two (2) cases were identified through contact tracing.

To date, there have been a total of 8,043 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 139 deaths, 90 cases in active isolation, and 7,814 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.8.

Free COVID-19 Testing Schedule
COVID-19 community testing continues. No symptoms are needed to qualify for testing. Bring a photo ID. Testing for travel purposes will not be conducted at these community testing sites. Individuals seeking COVID-19 testing to travel off-island may contact the DPHSS Northern Region Community Health Center at 635-7525/6 to schedule an appointment. For the safety of the community and nurses, only four (4) people per vehicle are allowed to be tested. Testing times, dates and locations are below:

Minors must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian and provide government-issued identification to validate age. The parent/legal guardian will also be required to sign a consent form on behalf of the minor to be tested or vaccinated for COVID-19.

UPDATE: Food Commodities Distribution Continues
The Guam Department of Education (GDOE), State Agency for the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) under the U.S.Department of Agriculture Food Nutrition Service distribution will be available to village constituents only on a first-come, first-served basis. A limit of three households per vehicle will be serviced at the distributions. Face masks must be worn. Bring a photo ID. Village Mayors distribution schedule is as follows:

DPHSS Reminds Community to Safeguard COVID-19 Vaccination Card
Scammers are using the COVID-19 pandemic to try to steal your personal information. Keep your vaccination card safe. Do not share a photo of your COVID-19 vaccination card online or on social media. Scammers can use content you post, like your date of birth, health care details, or other personal information to steal your identity. You should get a COVID-19 vaccination card at your first vaccine appointment. If you did not, contact the provider site where you got vaccinated or DPHSS to find out how to get a card. If someone contacts you to buy or sell a vaccination card, it is likely a scam.

Regularly clean the roof and gutters.
Maintain an area approximately 30’ away from you home that is free of anything that will burn, such as wood piles, dried leaves, newspapers and other brush.
Connect garden hoses long enough to reach any area of the home and fill garbage cans, tubs, or other large containers with water.
Review your homeowner's insurance policy and also prepare/update a list of your home's contents.

Turn on your TV/radio. You’ll get the latest weather updates and emergency instructions.
Know where to go. If you are ordered to evacuate, know the route to take and have plan of where you will go. Check-in with your friends and family.
Keep your car fueled, in good condition, and stocked with emergency supplies and a change of clothes.

Conserve water

Take shorter showers.

Turn off the water while brushing your teeth or shaving.
Run the washer less frequently and only when you have a full load.
Water your lawn less frequently and do so when the temperature is cooler in the early morning or late evening.
When you run the tap to heat or cool water, keep a pitcher to store the water and use it to water plants.
Avoid washing your car.

Practice fire prevention

Don't set off fireworks when conditions are dry.
